RE:STICK

TMR stick specialistDualSenseDualShock 4Switch Pro

Drift-free sticks,
upgraded to TMR.

We replace both drifting sticks on your DualSense, DualShock 4 or Switch Pro controller with TMR magnetic-sensor sticks that have no contacts to wear out. Desoldering, soldering, calibration and testing are all done by hand — back button mods too.

RE:STICKDiagnosis

Intake check: the left stick reports an offset even when you let go. The stock stick contacts are worn, so we'll replace both sticks with TMR.

RE:STICKCalibration

Center and range calibration done. All four axes return exactly to center when released.

Why TMR

Swap in the same stick, and it drifts again.

Stock sticks read position with resistive contacts that rub as you play, so they wear out and drift again. TMR sticks read a magnet with a TMR (tunnel magnetoresistance) sensor — contactless, with nothing to wear down.

Services

From TMR swaps to back button mods.

We fix input problems on PS5 DualSense, PS4 DualShock 4 and Nintendo Switch Pro controllers at the component level.

TMR stick replacement

We replace drifting stock sticks with TMR magnetic-sensor sticks — always both sides. The old modules are desoldered, TMR modules are soldered in, and center and range calibration is done before testing.

Why RE:STICK

Peace of mind before you hand it over.

TMR first

Replace a stick with the same kind and it will drift again someday. We recommend TMR so you never have to open it up again.

Shared progress

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a TMR stick replacement cost?

A TMR stick replacement is ₩30,000 for both sticks. That includes desoldering, soldering the TMR modules, center and range calibration and a full function test. Back button mods, button/trigger repairs and battery/port work depend on the condition — ask on KakaoTalk for a quote.

Do I have to ship it, or can I drop it off?

You can send it by parcel within Korea, or chat with us on KakaoTalk first and hand it over in person. In-person drop-off is available in Seoul. We'll share the shipping address or arrange a visit on KakaoTalk.

How long does it take?

If you come to the workshop, the work takes about 1 hour. For parcel orders, we usually finish and ship within 1–2 days of arrival if parts are in stock. If diagnosis shows extra work is needed, we always contact you first.

What is a TMR stick?

A TMR (tunnel magnetoresistance) stick reads the movement of a magnet on the stick shaft with a TMR sensor. Unlike stock sticks, there are no resistive contacts rubbing against each other, so wear-related drift doesn't happen even after long use.

Why does DualSense drift happen, and why switch to TMR?

The stock sticks in DualSense, DualShock 4 and Switch Pro controllers are potentiometers: the contacts wear or collect dust over time and the center value drifts. Replacing them with the same stock sticks fixes it for now, but it drifts again later. TMR sticks have no contacts, which removes the cause.

What's the difference between TMR and Hall effect sticks?

Both are contactless magnetic designs, so neither suffers from wear-related drift. The difference is the sensor: TMR sensors draw far less power and are more sensitive, giving more precision and less noise. On wireless controllers, the lower battery drain is a real advantage.

Will TMR sticks drain my battery faster?

TMR sensors use very little power, so battery life is practically the same as with stock sticks. Reducing the battery drain seen with Hall effect sticks is one of TMR's main strengths.

Can I replace just one stick?

We always replace both sticks. With only one swapped, the left and right sticks feel and respond differently, and the remaining stock stick is likely to drift soon for the same reason. Doing both in one teardown is the reliable fix.

Can drift come back after switching to TMR?

Drift caused by contact wear can't happen with TMR's design. Physical damage such as drops or liquid is a separate matter — if anything feels off, message us on KakaoTalk.

Which controllers can get TMR sticks?

We mainly work on PS5 DualSense, PS4 DualShock 4 and Nintendo Switch Pro controllers. For other models, ask on KakaoTalk.

Can I get a back button mod together with the TMR swap?

Yes — we do both in the same teardown. The rear buttons are wired to existing button signals, so original functions, haptics and charging are unaffected. Tell us which buttons you want mapped when you get in touch.
